On 26th May 2025, the serene campus of IIT Dharwad came alive with patriotic fervor and environmental zeal as it hosted the Tiranga March and Tree Plantation Drive, organized by IIT Dharwad in collaboration with 24 Karnataka BN NCC, Dharwad.

On 26th May 2025, the serene campus of IIT Dharwad came alive with patriotic fervor and environmental zeal as it hosted the Tiranga March and Tree Plantation Drive, organized by IIT Dharwad in collaboration with 24 Karnataka BN NCC, Dharwad. The march, led by spirited NCC cadets waving the national flag with pride, was a tribute to our nation's unity and the dedication of our youth.

The event was graced by the presence of Prof. VenkappayyA R. dEsAi, Director of IIT Dharwad, who not only flagged off the event but also participated in the march and the tree plantation ceremony. Col. J. R. Chaudhary, Prof. Dhiraj V. Patil, Dean (Faculty Welfare); Prof Ramjee Repaka, Dean (Student Welfare); Prof. S. M. Shivaprasad, Dean (Outreach); Prof. Gp Capt Dr Prahlad Joshi (Retd.), Professor of Practice-cum-Campus Management Advisor, Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering; Prof. Ravikumar C, Associate Dean - Alumni, Corporate, and Other Outreach (ACR); Prof. Surya Prakash R., Associate Dean, Student Welfare (SW) – Socio-Cultural Activities; and several other dignitaries, faculty members, and NCC officers also took part in the Tiranga March and tree plantation, reaffirming their commitment to building a greener and more sustainable India.

This initiative stood as a shining example of how academic institutions and youth organizations can come together to promote national pride and environmental responsibility.
