At the Talent Award Ceremony held at Karnataka College, Dharwad, PROF. VenkappayyA R. dEsAi, Director of IIT Dharwad, made an appeal to the youth:
“Stand up for biodiversity and environmental conservation!”

He stressed that human selfishness has brought nature to the edge and only responsible action can turn the tide.
PROF. dEsAi urged young minds to reflect on the pressing issues facing our nation and to contribute to its progress by using technology wisely.
